It is hard to see but I embossed snowflakes on the acetate and inside the snow is flocked.  Basically this is Mr. Snowman attempting to build a snowman. lol.

Bad blogger.

*waves weakily* sorry all. I have been uber bad with the blogging. Between getting my back in shape, finishing off my halloween cards, sewing and playing with my Slice, I owe ya some pictures.  Sorry no MUST HAVE MONDAY today. My brain has uncharacteristically thrown itself into quilting and I can't seem to get off that uber geekyness. I am currently struggling with *how* to make my a blanket out of Moda's Kiddie Christmas. It is so cute but I can't decide how I want to do it.  I may take the easy way out and just sew everything *together* all uncreative like - so that a) I can *have* a blaket for the holidays and b) so I don't frustrate myself further.   One thing I have found is that quilting is VERY frustrating because you are battling with your own inner *I MUST BE PERFECT* demon. You can fudge on outfits or other fun items, but with a quilt? not so much. Unless *maybe* crazy quilting. Crazy quilts are what I LOVE and I want to make one *SO BADLY*.

My Grandma's Peony.  I couldn't believe it has lasted 20 + years and my sister had it! She spit them up and I was lucky enough to get one. Now I am like bound and determined to ensure it doesn't die. My greenthumbed friends have assured me that so far, so good.

So What did that big SPOOL help me create?

A *little* home for my SLICE! There are so many bits and pieces with the Slice,I needed to contain it. I am one of those people that if things are  out of place I go mini nuts.  Hence containment needed to happen. I didn't like the SLICE options, so I thought I would take some canvas and fabric out of my stash. Inside

Not only did Ms Amy and I crop all day on Saturday at CraftFancy she gave me the Slice that she won at Crop for the Cure because she doesn't use the ones (sizzix the like) she already has! So she gave it to me!! *gobsmocked* How generous is she or WHAT?!? * Hugs her muchly!* I am right now making a huge thank you package for her because I am still in shock! Let me tell ya I love the Slice. First thing I cut? Fabric! and it does a really good job. That has always been my hesitation with any cutting system is - can it cut fabric or not? Also with dies & such ugh, what a storage nightmare. This system is way cool- the data is stored on a tiny card, you can adjust by a 1/2 inch up to 4 inches& the whole thing is portable & weights 2 pds! I am actively searching eBay to see what other cards I can get for it. The design card Spooky Alley is so cute, I may have to redo my Halloween cards. Baking crazyness

Finally! I got to make my pumpkin bread! Seriously love it & have brought a 1/2 a loaf to work because I never know who will be there& they live it too. I also made last night- meatloaf, gravy & noodles with veg. And cupcakes! As per always I made my home made frosting that rocks if I must say so myself. Also my gravy turned out really well but it always does for meatloaf it seams. And all of this was done in less than 2.5 hours! Crazyness isn't!? Now I want to make my BBQ brisket. Xoxo nan
