Yes. I have finally jumped down the vicious rabbit hole that is Typepad. Took a bit to get used to but so far me LOVES IT.
As the banner is indicating...yes I have an Etsy shoppe! I am bursting with excitment because I want it to open up now - but - I am waiting on two more bits before I can formally have the grand opening! So excited. I have a special area for wrapping and shipping that is pug free. Even though she (Aine, the 4 legged furry princess) is the sole tester on all dog toys! lol.
So what is this thing called The Portobello Road Shoppe? Well. :) it is inspired from my favorite market ever - The Portobello Market located in London, England. You can get lost all day there - starting off with the antiques, moving to the vintage and seconds and than lastly fruit and veg. I have so many fun pictures of the place - but this one is definately my favorite...
This was taken back in 2002 when my hubby and I were on his first trip to Ye Olde England. He loved Porotbello Road as much as I did. We found these puppies - really there were three instead of the two pictured here in the pram - with a pipe organ. They were all sleeping and we had no clue what they did - but we found out they were a street performer. Their owner would crank the organ and they would just turnaround in their pram - that is it! But they were the cutest street performers we had ever saw, so we had to give em a fiver. I have many more pictures of my favorite market but this one is the best. Even though it is a bit out of focus, I still love it.
So continue to travel down the Portobello Road with me to find the British inspired curiousities with an American twist. Cheers - Nan and Aine
