CPSIA Handmade Toy Alliance - SAVE HANDMADE!

 Recently I was asked to provide my thoughts on something that is very dear to my heart -Handmade Toy Alliance.  This alliance was set up to form a voice against the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, legislation  that  on the outside may make sense, but in reality it is hurting us folks, the Crafters. The law is vast, but the jist of it is anyone making certain products for little folks under 12, need to have their products tested. Ironically, some of the manufactures do not have to do this, but we will.

RIP Whitey .... HELLO RED...

...car that is!  *does extreme happy dance*

Here she is!   After 17  years of Grandpa looking car mess I got a new-to-me Honda Civic 2008. And dang does it ride well. Gots way to many bells and whistles that I have to learn about as well. It even takes my ipod!  I was looking at Mini, Scion, Smart but the best rated was Scion and Civic that fit my price range and  got the thumbs up by Consumer Reports.  The color is growing on me - it reminds me of my Mom's lipstick. I am Not. Kidding.

I have visions of road trips with Ms. Aine in the passengerseat in her little pug seat. I wlll post pictures once Aine gives her tour. :)

 RIP Whitey. Your 2 sofa seats and amazing ability to go through snow will be missed. However the fact that you had no air,  looked like a grandpa car & could die whenever and wherever,will not  be missed.

Eeep! Geek alert!

I cant believe it! Typepad has gone ..... iPad !!! Oh my goodness. About time typepad! Well you can only type in the HTML area and you cant put a picture in ....so Typepad you need a bit more work before we iPaders are happy campers. Hmm. Look like I am going back to the App blogstor for my iPad postings. Thank God that works! Anywayyyys - it looks like my craft is back on! I am currently researching a few projects that I am excited about. Yahoooo! *does happy dance* it has fabric and sewing and loads more goodies! Yea! I believe most of my crafty mojo is dictated by weather. Hence air con has been my friend. ;)
