Thank you April!!! Royalty Mad update!

*updated because I didn't realize  the pics  were fuzzy!* I owe many Starbucks dollars to my dear friend April and her BF Glen for filming my video submission to Royalty Mad. They were so amazing! I couldn't have done it with out her and Glen!(btw Glen hopefully I didn't scare you TOOOOO much with the hobby madness!)

I have the video and if people want to see it, please let me know and I will send you the private Youtube link. Of course , If I make it, I will make my video submission public. :)

FYI. Today I have started studying for my next professional certification.  So If I am not around a lot - I AM HERE! I just have my face buried in a book or a Pug or work.  Unfortunately, not an iPad book.*cries*

Getting this certification may not help my crafty career but it helps my day to day career which is goodness because I love that job too.  I am already mourning the time away from the net and from my lovely blog but when I pass this, the benefits outway the loss of net and etsy time.  I am - however - planning a small update for Easter and you will start seeing that very soon.  I do intend to get my commitments done as well for "What I wore Today" and another project that I am working on.  I believe uber scheduling will be had. And I am not the best scheduler of my private life.

So please cross your fingers, toes and paws for me... this one is going to be a tough one.   3 hours, 300 multiple choice questions. no breaks.  *sigh*

Going to the birds, part 2

We have been getting quite obsessive here.

1) I was so not happy with my old Felting system which I made a few weeks ago with a plastic pizza box and dividers. It wouldn't close and I couldn't put in as much felt as I wanted. I have been looking for something that is more narrow and tall and I found it (to the right of the picture)! Joannes honored the online sale price since this was the last one in the store. Also it stores so much more felt! I love it except for the colores... Does anyone know if you can paint plastic? Either that- or it will be covered in stickers.


Oh and I finally got to play with my brother P-Touch label maker! And we got a little carried away...


2. We are obsessing with birds and most particularly, their feet. First up - birdies!

I first started thinking that copper wire melted might work...


But nope, it didn't melt even with the oldest soldering iron EVER. Seriously this is an old iron- I found it at my grandmas! Since that didn't work, we have now gone on to playing with floral wire! Yahoo! Will keep you posted....;)

Poor Chicken

This little Chicky got a *little* hurt by Ollie the PitBoxer, my neighbors grand dog.


Yes, I know horrid, iPhone pics. But even nice Nikon pics wouldn't do the poor thing justice. Net net, she is a wreck.


So next mission- Poor little Chicky gets remade for neighbor!

Speaking of sewing, I am so excited- I get to teach 3 people to sew next week!

new friend- such a sweet surprise!

I got two wonderful surprises this week. Our favorite British Pug - Mr Pickles - showed off the Mini Me I made him which is so.dang.sweet.of.him! Thank you Mr. P and Gemma!!!!
