US gold medalist is the president of her Anglophile Club! How cool is that!? Seriously should have done that in high school but I was in the Irish club......I know. It doesn't count. We were from the South not the North but hey- we got to walk in the parade! Woot!

Now that I have a new job that actually gives me a work life balance, I finally have time to complete some projects I have been wanting to do for the longest time. Like ...

So much so, she is like... Really?!


I can even finish projects from CHA two years ago! English paper piecing is fun and brings a nice result. I cant really imagine doing a whole quilt in it...


Another project- finally able to paint my basement! See the color of that door? My WHOLE basement was a dark brown.


So I have been priming the walls which took a whole two days! I think I will have to put another coat on to make sure the walls are even colored. I don't want a repeat of the first time I painted.. My office. *shudder*

Knit wit that I am

So soooo sorry! I have been an extremely bad blogger. I am still loving my job and have past the 30 day mark! Huzzah!! Not much has been happening except getting used to my new job and my new routine. Oh and knitting as Aine demonstrates.


Don't ask me what that will be - I think a shawl. It was going to be a knitted felting project where you knit it and than shrink the heck out of it to make wool felt. Than it turned into 'oh lets just knit because I WILL TEACH MYSELF TO KNIT LIKE A PRO!' Quickly my thoughts turned to... ' oh knitting is so relaxing and easy to pick up/port and dang, the knitters were right...knitting is relaxing'. Something I found really shocking, I must admit. Now I wonder if i should try a sweater? I have barely touched my needle felting except to organize it. Heck, organizing is really what I have been doing the most because I have not organized in forever due to looking for a new job and at the same time working a 50-60 hour week.

So yea, my house needed the organization fairy greatly.

So with my new glasses(yea geek chic is in!!)


And Aine napping due to the fact she is still recovering from playing with my nieces and nephews.


I should kick that organization fairy in gear.

Wait... I need some more yarn...when does fuzzy wuzzy close?
